Patna Pirates beat Tamil Thalaivas 35-24

Monu Goyat scored 11 points as he inspired Pirates to a crushing 35-24 win over Tamil Thalaivas in the Star Sports Pro League.

Jaideep scored five tackle points for Pirates as they ran out comfortable winners. For Tamil Thalaivas, Thakur scored 10 raid points but didn't get enough support from his teammates.


Pirates now have 27 points after seven matches whereas Thalaivas crashed to their fourth defeat of the season and have 14 points after seven matches.

Both teams scored tackle points in three minutes to tie the game at 1-1. Thakur scored first raid point for Tamil Thalaivas in the fourth minute as they led 3-1.

Goyat came up with a super raid in the 32nd minute as Pirates inflicted an all out to lead 28-16. With less than five minutes to go Pirates led 32-18 and were in complete control of the match.

Goyat scored his 10th point of the night as Pirates led 33-20. Thakur achieved a super 10 for Tamil Thalaivas in the last minute as they lost 24-35.
