Post-Matric Scholarships Scheme for Minorities 2017-18
To motivate students belonging to minority communities, the Government of India is offering them scholarship opportunity for higher education up to Ph.D. based on merit, while earmarking 30% scholarships for girl students.
Eligibility: Students having cleared class X from any school affiliated under a recognised board. Family income must be below ₹. 2 lakh and candidates should have scored 50% marks in the previous examination.

Prizes and rewards: Varying admission, tuition and maintenance fee for day scholars and hostellers on monthly and annual basis.

The Matsumae International Research Fellowship 2017-18
Matsumae International Foundation, Japan, is inviting applications from doctorate candidates to imbibe a deeper understanding of Japan with priority given to the field of study in natural science, engineering and medicine.
Eligibility: Doctorate, below 49 years of age, having conversational ability in English or Japanese, must not have been in Japan in the past or present with firm positions and professions, and must return on completion of the fellowship.

Prizes and rewards: ₹ 2,20,000 Yen per month, overseas travel or sickness insurance, economy class round-trip air ticket, and lumpsum amount of ₹1,20,000 Yen for local travel expense, lodging, and so on, on arrival.

Merit cum Means Scholarship for Minorities 2017
To assist poor and meritorious students of minority community financially, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, is inviting applications for the scholarship opportunity to help them with technical or professional courses.
Eligibility: Candidates pursuing technical or professional course from any recognised educational board with minimum 50% marks in higher secondary or graduation. Family income must not exceed ₹ 2.5 lakh.
Application: Online only
Prizes andrewards: Maintenance allowance of ₹ 10,000 p.a. to hostellers and ₹ 5,000 p.a. for day scholars, and course fee of ₹ 20,000 or actual fee, whichever is less for both, hostellers and day scholars.
