Man held with three kg of gold at Ahmedabad airport

The Customs officials today seized three kg of gold worth around Rs 82 lakh at the airport from a passenger who had arrived from Sharjah.

Air Intelligence Unit of Customs searched the luggage of Sheikh Abdullah, who had arrived by an Air Arabia flight from Sharjah, UAE, at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport.


They found three kg of gold concealed in a ceiling fan which he was carrying, Customs sources said.

Further probe was on.
