Lt Governor Anil Baijal today stressed the need to develop institutional linkages between the Delhi Police and prestigious educational institutions for systematic capacity-building in the force.
Baijal, at a meeting to review the developing law and order scenario in Delhi and the city police's vision for the next 10 years, said the technological upgradation must be gradual and in tune with the trends in the society as well as requirements of the police force.
"The main objective of the Delhi Police is to prevent and detect crime while pursuing justice for all. Come up with definite actionable time-bound plans focusing on immediate requirements keeping in view your technological and personnel capabilities," he told the police.
