The Union Cabinet had given its approval on Wednesday to transfer the plot located at AAI’s Remote Receiving Station in Dahisar. In exchange, the State government has been asked to allot 40 acres land at Gorai to the AAI.

The MMRDA will pay the difference in cost of land estimated at ₹472.70 crore as per the stamp duty ready reckoner rate for 2016-17) or the rate at the time of final handing over of land, whichever is higher.

A senior MMRDA official said, “We will abide by all the conditions and will pay the money for the land as per government order.”
