Two arrested for killing relative

Two persons have been arrested for allegedly killing their relative at a village in neighbouring Palghar, over a family dispute, police said today.

The incident took place on Wednesday at Posheri village when the victim, Suresh Jadhav (35) was attacked by father-in-Jau Dharva (54) and a relative, Ramesh Bhoir at their house, Wada police station inspector Ravindra Naik said.


The officer said the family feud began after Jadhav had allegedly beaten his mother-in-a month ago, and since then quarrels have been occurring among them.

On Wednesday, a scuffle broke out bewteen the victim and his in-laws and other relatives and he was attacked with an iron rod, he said.

The accused have been booked under section 302 (murder), rw 34 (common intention) and further probe into the matter was on, Naik added.
