England vs West Indies, 2nd Test: West Indies finished the first day at 19/1 and they now trail England by 239 runs at Headingley.

West Indies finished the first day at 19/1 and they now trail England by 239 runs at Headingley. Earlier, in the day, West Indies bowlers dominated the first two sessions of play and pushed the hosts on backfoot. Wickets kept tumbling for the home side at regular intervals as they were bundled out for 258 in first innings. Skipper Joe Root continued his incredible form and scored yet another half-century.

All-rounder Ben Stokes also took the responsibility as the left-handed batsman notched up a hundred before getting out to Gabriel. For West Indies it was Gabriel and Kemar Roach who picked up four wickets apiece. England lead the three-match series 1-0.
