The police raided an adulterated ghee manufacturing unit at New Raja Rajeshwaripet in the city on Wednesday, and seized huge quantity of ghee.
They took two persons, Srinivasa Rao and Subramanyam, who were running the manufacturing-cum-packing unit into custody.
The modus operandi of the accused is to mix Palmolein oil with some ingredients and prepare ghee. They were selling the adulterated products by packing in small sachets, said Assistant Commissioner of Police V.V. Naidu.
