Bengaluru: The Karnataka state government has received a proposal from TVS motor company for a 1110 crore investment for a two-wheeler plant. The plant is expected to create employment opportunities for 800 people.

TVS is keen to set up a two wheeler plant at Bytahalli near Kadakola in Mysuru. According to senior officials the proposal could be cleared shortly by a State High level clearance committee (SHLCC).

The Hindu's BusinessLine reported the development quoting RV Deshpande, the minister for large, medium industries and infrastructure development. The State High Level Clerance Committe is anticipated to clear the files soon. Read the BusinessLine story here

In the past three months itself the SHLCC has cleared files for Oracle India's Rs 2438 crore plant near Bengaluru, as well as Wipro's aerospace composite plant at Devanhalli reads the Hindu article.

Among the top projects entering the state, Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals has proposed a Rs 966 crore project. IKEA India too has expressed intent for a Rs 810 crore single-brand retail furnishing store at Nagasandra near Bengaluru.
