India openers are out in the middle for the chase. Not enough runs on the board, Rohit Sharma, who hasn’t been among the runs in Sri Lanka, would like to get some under his belt today. The target has been revised and India will now chase 231 in 47 overs for win. Earlier, hosts’ openers Niroshan Dickwella and Danushka Gunathilaka began the innings well for the hosts as they scored 41 runs for the first wicket but they were son pushed on the backfoot after losing wickets at regular intervals. Sri Lanka were reduced to 121/5 in the 29th over. Later, Chamara Kapugedara and Siriwardana chipped in with a partnership of 91 runs to provide resistance. Siriwardana went on to score a fifty while Kapugedara was undone for 40. For India it was Jasprit Bumrah who scalped a four-for in the innings. India so far lead the five-match series 1-0.
