India is leading in digital transformation: NetApp's Anil Valluri

Anil Valluri, President, India & SAARC, NetApp Marketing & Services talks about the rise of digital transformation and the contributions that India has provided to the changing times of conducting businesses. In his welcoming address at the NetApp and BW Businessworld Data Driven summit.

He states that "If you look at digital transformation, this is the first time we are ahead of the world."

He also explained that the government has contributed to a whole plethora of data in huge values and bandwidths.

With respect to the digital transformation, Gary Tait, Global Chief Technical Strategist, NetApp gives an in-depth view of the structure of technology with new business methods in the market.

In his keynote address, Gary said, "It is getting tougher to conduct business in traditional ways depending on factors like regulations, data complexities and growing competition driving the digital transformation."

He described that in the coming years banking will move away from the face to interactions and data analytics would be used to understand customers better.

He also pointed out an important part of his presentation by Accenture which states that by the year 2020 traditional banking will lose 35 per cent market share to digital banks and retail banking will move to payments clearing only.

Gary commenced his presentation by explaining how the technology at NetApp can help bridge the gap in developing self-service banking systems along with management of risk, improvement in revenue and cost reduction techniques.
