Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today asked officials, public representatives and implementing agencies to work "day and night" to achieve the aim of supplying safe drinking water to all habitations by 2019.
Rao reminded his announcement that his party TRS would not contest the next elections in 2019 if all the habitations in the state do not get pure drinking water under the scheme 'Mission Bhagiratha'.
"He said since Mission Bhagiratha is a life and death question for the Telangana government, officials, public representatives and working agencies should work day and night to accomplish the task," a release from his office said.
The government is ready to solve any problem, however small it is, in the works, the release quoted him as saying during a meeting on the scheme with ministers and officials.
