A moderate intensity earthquake jolted the region on Thursday.

No loss of life or injuries or casualties have been reported.

The earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale with epicentre in region occurred at 2.28 a.m. today.

On June 1, an earthquake of the same magnitude occurred in northern at around 4:20 a.m.

Shockwaves were felt in Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Gurgaon and other nearby places.
