AccorHotels has expanded the rapidly growing range of midscale resorts in Maldives with the opening of the Mercure Maldives Kooddoo.

Located in Gaafu Alifu Atoll, Mercure Maldives Kooddoo is adjacent to Kooddoo domestic airport and the first beachfront property directly accessible via a 55-minute flight from Male without the need for a speedboat journey.

The hotel offers guests several dining options: the all-day-dining Alita Restaurant serves Pan-Asian ŕ la carte cuisine and themed buffets with both indoor and outdoor seating; Vistas, an over-the-water restaurant and lounge, serves tapas, snacks and handcrafted cocktails; and Alita Pool Bar offers cocktails and light bites over-looking the sunset sky.

In addition, guests can take full advantage of the location with a five-star PADI Dive & Water Sports Centre offering courses and adventures to the best dive sites of the atoll for sharks and pelagic encounters, easily reachable by a 10 minute-boat ride from the hotel. Water sports include snorkelling, sailing, kayaking, windsurfing, catamarans, jet skis, and fun tubes. There's also a 50-metre lagoon-side swimming pool, tennis court and Kids’ Club, tennis and badminton courts, and fully equipped fitness facilities. Local island daytrips and sunset fishing excursions are also options for guests to enjoy.
