Some students continued their protest against NEET on Wednesday, the day the Directorate of Medical Education released the merit list. A human chain was formed outside the Madras Medical College campus. “Even if it is not possible to get an exemption from NEET this year, we must get an exemption next year,” a member of the Madras Medical College Students Council said.

“Rural students are being sidelined. We want equal opportunities for all,” he said.
