The Rajasthan government gave reservation to Jats of Bharatpur and Dholpur under Other backward Class (OBC) on Wednesday.
As per the notification that was issued on Wednesday said on the basis of the cabinet decision, Jats of the two districts will be immediately incorporated into the authorised list of OBC category.

Speaking to DH, Jat leader and Congress MLA from Bharatpur, Vishvendra Singh said, we are happy that state government accepted our demand. It's a collective win. Now community members in other states can also follow the foot steps'.
In June, the OBC Commission submitted its report to Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje. Apart from the two districts, Jats were enjoying the benefit of OBC reservation in the state.
