MP Govt mulls depositing grains subsidy in beneficiaries' bank account

Public Relation Minister said that the decision was taken in this regard during a meeting chaired by Chief Minister

The Chief Minister has decided that the scheme will be launched as a pilot project in one district, if successful; it will be implemented in the entire state.

Under this scheme the will directly deposit the amount of subsidy in the account of beneficiaries instead of providing grains at a fair price shop.

leader Manak Agarwal, however, said that the state should re-consider the plan.

spokesperson J.P. Dhanopia also opposed the plan and said that this plan would also succumb to corruption.
