[India], Aug 21 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday said that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will run a campaign against the Congress Party for opposing the formation of the constitutional body on Other Backward Classes Commission in the Rajya Sabha, which has exposed the 'anti-poor and anti-OBC' face of the grand old party.

Adityanath made this statement after attending a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other BJP leaders at party headquarters in the national capital with chief ministers and deputy chief ministers of BJP-governed states.

"The anti-poor and anti-OBC face of the Congress Party has been exposed. Prime Minsiter Narendra Modi initiated proceedings to provide Other Backward Classes Commission into constitutional body, but on the direction of Congress President and vice-president and due to what Digvijay Singh said in the Rajya Sabha, Other Backward Classes Commission wasn't made a constitutional body. We have planned to carry out a campaign on the same," Adityanath told the reporters here.

Talking about the meeting, Adityanath said that double the income of the farmers by 2022 was also discussed.

"We discussed the strategy to double the income of the farmers. We are planning to make an impactful strategy to achieve our mission by 2022," he said.

The party also chalked out the plan to connect the programme meant for the welfare of the people with the Digital transaction, to make it more transparent and free from corruption.

"Under 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat' campaign we discussed the way to strengthen the relation between the states by promoting cultural values. We also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the same," he said.

Further discussing about the meeting, he said that all chief ministers and deputy chief ministers received the prime ministers guidance as to how states will work on mission mode to attain the goal of a 'New India' by 2022.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh also reiterated to work for the welfare of the poor section and said that the plans have been chalked out for the same.

"We are focusing to bring transparency in every section of the society. We discussed about the various plans of the government including the infrastructure development of the country. We chalked out the strategy to channelise the money and resources for the the development of the state," Raman Singh told the reporters here after the meeting.

Singh said that the party has set an aim and have decided to move forward keeping that in mind.

"Prime Minister gave road map till 2022 to all states and its implementation will be monitored personally by BJP President Amit Shah and the prime minister after every three months," he said. (ANI)
