By the end of the trading session on Tuesday, the Benchmark BSE SENSEX took a 33 point lead or a 0.11% margin to end the day on 31291.85. This was in stark contrast to experts who had hinted that the markets could end positively, while tracking cues from SGX Nifty and Dow.

Dr Reddy, Lupin Pharma, Sun Pharma, ONGC, Axis Bank and Wipro were the top gainers, while Bajaj Auto, Hero Motocorp, and NTPC were the losers on the Sensex.

Sectoral stocks from Oil & Gas, Healthcare, and Energy were trading favorably. Oil and Gas rose 1.31% in the gren zone. Energy related stocks too traded positively with a 0.69% lead. Realty (down by 1.14%), and Auto stocks (0.75%) were among the top losers.



There was mixed reaction on IT stocks with BSE Information Technology sector showing a 0.02% lead, but Infy finally managed to end the day on a green note. Although not very significant, the scrip still managed a 3.65 point lead to end at 877.15.

The NSE Nifty50 too ended the day on marginally towards the green. It rose by 0.11% or 11.20 points to end the day on 9765.55.
