Benchmark indices opened on a firm note on Tuesday despite mixed cues from Asian markets. Buying in index heavyweights InfosysBSE 0.89 %, ICICI BankBSE 0.39 % and HDFC BankBSE -0.13 % offset selling seen on counters such as TCSBSE 0.06 % and ITCBSE 0.69 %.
