The Congress on Tuesday named K K Manjunath and Ramoji Gowda as its candidates for the upcoming Legislative Council elections in Karnataka. Manjunath will contest from the South West Teacher’s constituency and Ramoji Gowda will be in the fray from Bengaluru Graduate constituency.

Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi also approved the proposal to appoint M D Lakshminarayan as the chairman of the OBC Department of the state unit of the party.
