A 20-year-old construction labourer was killed and two others were injured when an armed group assaulted them, accusing them of stealing a water pump from an under-construction house in Munenakolala in Varthur on Monday night.
The deceased has been identified as Basheer, a labourer from West Bengal. Hafeezulla and Ajmal, who sustained multiple injuries, were admitted to hospital. The Varthur police has registered a case.
