Copra strengthens on heavy demand

Copra prices strengthened at the spices market here today on heavy demand from stockists and retailers coupled with forthcoming festival demand amid restricted arrivals.

Rest all other prices held steady in the absence of any major buying.


Copra office Alappuzha gained by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 11,300 from Monday's close of Rs 11,200 and copra office Kozhikode rose by Rs 200 per quintal to Rs 11,200 as compared to Rs 11,000 yesterday.

Copra Rajapur shot up by Rs 1,000 to Rs 14,000 as against yesterday's close of Rs 13,000 and copra edible climbed by Rs 700 to Rs 13,000 from Rs 12,300 previously.
