A speeding tractor trolley rammed a motorbike near Naron village in the district killing two minor siblings and leaving their parents injured, police said.

The last evening's incident sparked angry protest from villagers who set the tractor trolley ablaze, police said, adding the driver managed to to flee.

Bakani police station circle in-charge Umesh Mainariya said the four, who were residents of Badai village, were returning home from a relative's home in Daver village.

He said the two siblings, who were 7 and 5 years old, were killed on the spot while their parents suffered fractures and were rushed to the district hospital.

The tractor driver, who fled from the spot after the incident, has been booked for negligent driving, he said.

However, the police have so far not lodged any case against villagers for setting the trolley ablaze, the CI said.
