Rousing welcome for Chittoor policeman

He won gold in Wolrd Police Games

The Chittoor district police administration on Sunday organised an impressive rally with personnel from Chittoor, Puttur, Madanapalle and Palamaner sub-divisions from the Collectorate to the Police Parade Grounds here, welcoming Deputy SP (Special Branch) N.T.V. Ramkumar on his return from Los Angeles after participating in the 10-day World Police and Fire Games-2017.

Mr. Ramkumar, along with Chandigarh SP Ashish Kapoor, won the gold medal in the Men’s Tennis Doubles event defeating the Hong Kong team. Ramkumar represented Andhra Pradesh police department in a contingent of 116 police personnel of Indian States at the world meet.

Earlier, Mr. Ramkumar arrived on the outskirts from Chennai airport. He was taken in a procession in open top police vehicle, preceded by motorcycle rally with about 500 policemen.

At a felicitation function organised at the old District Police Office grounds, Chittoor SP S.V. Rajasekhar Babu said it was a proud moment for the AP police with Mr. Ramkumar returning home with a gold medal from the global police games event.

. “I feel proud to represent India and win Gold medal for the country,” Mr. Ramkumar said, thanking DGP N. Sambasiva Rao, DIG (Kurnool) Ghattamaneni Srinivas, and Chittoor SP S.V. Rajasekhar Babu for their encouragement and support.
