[India], August 20 (ANI): A Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) was launched in the Bamnoo area of Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district on late Sunday evening.

Few militants are believed to be present inside the area.

Further details are awaited.

Earlier on Saturday, a CASO was launced in nine villages of Shopian district.

The Shopian Police, 62 Rashtriya Rifles (RR), 3 Rr and the 14th Battalion of Central Police Reserve Force (CRPF) conducted the search operation.

The villages under the cordon were Chakoora, Mantribug, Zaipora, Pratabpora, Takipora , Ranipora, Ratnipora, Dangam and Wangam. (ANI)
