Constituents in coalition govt sacrificed their interests for Goa: Parrikar

Chief Minister today said various constituents in his coalition have "sacrificed" their interests for the sake of the state.

Parrikar was addressing a public meeting in Panaji constituency in the run up to the upcoming byelection scheduled on August 23.


"This is formed out of some sacrifices... it is the way you look at the things. You can look at the bottle as half empty or half filled. I find it full, half of water is half of air.

"The current has different kind of component representing different interests. But in common they represent Goan ethos," Parrikar said.

He added that the will retain interest of everyone who are in the coalition.

The chief minister also took a dig at the fake which was circulated quoting him as saying that if he loses Panaji election, he would return as defence minister to Delhi.

"I have seen the new trend of creating bogus and keep on quoting it time and again. Some national media also fell for it. I had not spoken to the media. I never spoke," he said.
