Very light to light rainfall in Bihar today

Very light to light rainfall occurred at one or two places in in the past 24 hours, the office said today.

Among the major cities, Gaya recorded 1.4 mm rainfall during the day and 7.8 mm rainfall in the past 24 hours, bulletin said.


Places like Madhipura (Madhepura dist) received 5 cm while Benibad (Darbhanga dist), Saraiya (Muzaffarpur district), Katoria (Banka district) and Gaya Aero (Gaya district) registered 1 cm of rainfall each, it said.

But the major cities of Patna, Bhagalpur and Purnea registered no rainfall since yesterday increasing both the humidity level and the maximum temperature.

The bulletin said, the maximum temperature is one degree above normal in and Purnea while it is two degrees above normal in Bhagalpur.

Bhagalpur recorded a maximum temperature of 35.8 degree celsius, followed by 34.6 degree celsius in Purnea, 34.2 degree celsius in and 33.1 degree celsius in Gaya.

In its forecast, the office said that may witness partly cloudy sky with possibility of rain or thunder shower tomorrow while Gaya, Bhagalpur and Purnea are likely to witness generally cloudy sky with the possibility of rain or thundershower tomorrow.
