SAO PAULO (Reuters) - The Brazilian has been informed that has opened an anti-dumping investigation against the country's exporters, a source at the Foreign Ministry told on Friday.

The Brazilian will defend exporters in the Chinese case and will seek to ensure rules of the World Trade Organization (WTO) are strictly followed, the source said on condition of anonymity because the ministry has not issued an official statement.

The will proceed cautiously to avoid disrupting relations with ahead of an upcoming visit by President Michel Temer there for a multination summit of BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India and China) countries, said the source.

Officials from both countries will discuss the anti-dumping matter next week, the source added.
