Khandu, who was accompanied by state BJP president Tapir Gao and Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, congratulated Kovind on being elected the President, an official release said here.
Kovind assured the delegation to visit Arunachal within this year on a suitable event.
The President expressed concern about the flood situation in the state and expressed his condolence for the lives lost in the recent landslide.
Kovind advised the leaders to work unitedly in promoting the region under the Prime Minister's 'Act East Policy', the release added.
