Wall Street pares losses on report of Bannon's likely exit

- U.S. pared losses in late morning trading on Friday after a report by website Axios that Senior Adviser Steve Bannon could exit soon.

The report said Chief of Staff John Kelly would decide whether Bannon, one of President Donald Trump's top aides, will keep his job.

At 11:50 a.m. ET the Dow Jones industrial average was down 12.89 points, or 0.06 percent, at 21,737.84, the S&P 500 was up 3.18 points, or 0.130864 percent, at 2,433.19 and the Nasdaq Composite was up 19.20 points, or 0.31 percent, at 6,241.11.
