The Internet Is Brutally Trolling Conor McGregor For His Goofy Warm-up Routine

Elite fighters from all over are joining in the #mcgregorchallenge

August 18, 2017

UFC star Conor McGregor is making headlines again, but neither racist trash-talking nor a vulgar suit is to blame. No, this time it's not McGregor doing the trolling, but a slew of other boxers who are using social media to mock his unorthodox warm-up routine. Ever heard of the #mcgregorchallenge?

In case you haven't seen it, McGregor's warm-up is a unique one, the highlight being what could most accurately be described as "noodle arms." And as his fight with Floyd Mayweather approaches, it was inevitable that other boxers would take notice. Check it out in the video below, starting at the :32 mark.

Of course, McGregor had a thing or two to say about the newest social media trend.

"It's certainly motivating, the disrespect and the disregard for my skill set," he told MMA Junkie during a media conference call. "I look at people sometimes, and their mind is closed. They've got such a closed mind on how things can be done. It's a set way and no other way."

"I've seen some video. It is what it is," he added." It's light-hearted. I don't take it personal. If anything I see stiffness in every single one of them."

So while it appears he was put off by the videos, he still wrapped it up with an uncharacteristic amount of cool.

These boxers aren't the first to troll McGregor. His former sparring partner claimed on Twitter that the Irish champion has "no balls". Ouch. And as for the fight itself? Boxing legend Mike Tyson doesn't think McGregor stands a chance against Mayweather. We don't know about you guys, but we're ready for this ridiculously long-lasting beef between McGregor and Mayweather to finally come to rest. In case you haven't heard, fight night is August 26.
