Light to moderate rainfall occurred at many places in Bihar in the past 24 hours, the Met office said today.
As per the Met bulletin, among major cities, Gaya received highest rainfall at 62.6 mm (recorded between 8:30 am on Thursday to 8:30 am on Friday), followed by 22.8 mm in Bhagalpur, 21.4 mm in Patna and 0.5 mm in Purnea.
With south west monsoon being normal in Bihar during past 24 hours, places like Chapra received 6 cm of rainfall, Palmerganj, Jalalpur, Goraul received 3 cm each while Jhajha, Bihpur, Bhagalpur, Patna Aerodrome, Deo, Sripalpur, Rajauli, Katoria, Bodh Gaya registered 2 cm each, it said.
Bhagalpur recorded a maximum temperature of 34.4 degrees Celsius, followed by 34.0 in Purnea, 33.4 in Patna and 33.2 degrees Celsius in Gaya, bulletin said.
In the forecast, the Met office said that Patna, Gaya, Bhagalpur and Purnea are likely to witness generally cloudy sky with possibility of rain or thunder shower tomorrow.
