KOCHI: The Aluva police on Thursday arrested three youths on the charge of attempting to murder a 38-year-old person at SN Puram Junction near here last week.
The arrested are Sreejith, 22, of Choornikkara; Abin, 20, of Ashokapuram, and Renjith, 19, of Kalamassery. They were among the six who were accused of attempting to kill one Saiju using sharp-edged weapons at a location near the SN Puram chapel on August 10.
The murder bid followed an altercation between the complainant and the third accused in the case, identified as Tintu. The accused had approached the victim on three two-wheelers and attacked him with machetes.
