Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (AP-CRDA) Commissioner Cherukuri Sreedhar held discussions with the senior executives of the Ascendas-Singbridge and Sembcorp, Singapore Power and Terra Firma on the Central District Cooling System (CDCS), the type of roads that can be laid in the capital region and other development works, at the CRDA office here on Friday.

The officials of the SP Group gave a presentation on the CDCS under which air-conditioning would be done through pipes from a cooling tower and chiller situated at a distance, and heat ventilation air-conditioning.

Mr. Sreedhar wanted a report to be submitted on which system best suits Amaravati and other issues thereof. Engineers of Terra Firma highlighted the utility of powder-based polymer compounds in laying of roads. Roads laid on beds formed with those chemicals would have the desired durability even on loose soils, they said.
