Scattered rains occurred at some places in today while the weather remained dry in the rest of the state.

A house was partially damaged and the Rohru Theog road blocked near Dochi village in Shimla district due to a landslip.


Dharamshala, Palampur and Jogindernagar gauged 50 mm, 28 mm and 11 mm of rainfall.

Property to the tune of Rs 550 crore has so far been damaged due to rains in the state, officials said.

Meanwhile, the lower hills reeled under sultry heat. Una recorded a high of 36.2 degrees Celsius. Bhuntar had a maximum of 34.5, Sundernagar and Kangra 33.2 each,Solan 29.5, Dharamshala 29.4, Nahan 28.9, Kalpa 26 and Shimla 25.3.

The local office has predicted wet spell in the region for the next six days up to August 24.
