N. Uttam Kumar Reddy fslags off 5th batch of Haj pilgrims

The Congress has alleged that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao was trying to hide his failures on Muslim welfare by showering praises on Nizam.

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee President N. Uttam Kumar Reddy has alleged that Mr. Rao even used a holy journey of Haj Pilgrims to deliver a lecture on Nizam’s achievements at the Haj House instead of their welfare. He said that the Chief Minister wrongly believes that he could avoid questioning by Muslim community on his failures by praising the Nizam.

Mr. Reddy, who spoke to media at the Haj House after flagging off 5th batch of Haj pilgrims on Wednesday, asked why Mr. Rao was silent on implementation of 12% Muslim reservation. He said that the CM should give an assurance that 12% Muslim quota would be implemented in 84,000 jobs which he was promising to give. He reminded that the present 4% reservation for Muslims in jobs and education was given by the previous Congress regime. He also accused the CM of strengthening the ‘communal forces’ in the country.

“He considers Prime Minister Narendra Modi as his idol and has supported all his decisions which are originally taken by the RSS and Sangh Parivar,” he alleged. Leaders of Opposition K. Jana Reddy and Shabbir Ali and senior Congress leaders were also present.
