As a part of this ‘pakhwada’ , the division has organised a Prabhat Pheri rally lead by Additional DRM Ajay Arora from the DRM’s office to Visakhapatnam Railway station via DBK railway quarters, wireless colony, Allipuram and railway station.

Around 30 officers and over 350 staff of various departments participated in the rally. Civil Defence personnel and Scouts and Guides also took part in this campaign.

A street play (Nukkad natak) on Swachhta awareness was organised by the Divisional Cultural Association.

Speaking on the occasion, Divisional Railway Manager Mukul Saran Mathur, who joined the rally at Visakhapatnam Railway Station, said that Swachhta is a continuous process and one should inculcate it from childhood. He urged the public to keep the railway premises clean and shoulder the responsibility to make India clean.
