SP activists burn effigy of UP CM

(SP) members here burnt an effigy of Chief Minister in a protest today against the police detaining their leader when he was going to attend a rally in Auraiya.

"It is of democracy as everybody has the right to protest against the wrong actions of the government," SP district chief Tanveer Ahmad said.


He said, the cannot suppress the voice of SP activists of by using "baton or bullet".

"They cannot frighten us by showing the fear of jail," Ahmad said.

The activists also raised against the chief minister and the state

The SP president, Akhilesh Yadav, was today detained by the police in Unnao when he was on his way to attend a protest rally in Auraiya .

Yadav, who was later released and allowed to go to Lucknow, attacked the Adityanath alleging that it was "misusing" the state machinery.
