[India], August 17, (ANI): Last rites of Havildar Narendra Singh, who lost his life in ceasefire violation by Pakistan on August 7, in Uri sector of Jammu and Kashmir, have been performed in Haridwar on Thursday.

Earlier today, his wreath laying ceremony was held with full honours.

The mortal remains of the brave heart were airlifted to his hometown.

Havildar Narendra Singh, 43, had a critical head injury, which led to his death.

On August 7, there was a ceasefire violation by Pakistani troops along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Uri sector of Baramulla district.

On August 6 too, the Pakistani troops violated the ceasefire by firing at Indian posts along the LoC in Baba Khori area of Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.2017 has seen a sharp increase in ceasefire violations at the LoC by Pakistan. (ANI)
