Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi will visit Uttarakhand on August 18 to participate in a programme by his alma mater, party officials said today.
State Congress president Pritam Singh held a meeting with senior party leaders to discuss the preparations for Gandhi's visit here, party spokesperson Garima Dasauni said.
Gandhi will be accorded a warm welcome by party workers and leaders on his arrival at the Jollygrant Airport on Friday, she said.
The party vice president will attend the programme at the Doon School, his alma mater, the spokesperson added.
