Pink to receive Micheal Jackson Vanguard Award at 2017 VMAs

Singer Pink will be honoured with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the 2017 Video Music Awards (VMAs).

In addition to receiving the event's highest honour, the 37-year-old musician will perform live on August 27 function, reported Billboard.


The first Vanguard awards were presented at the inaugural VMAs in 1984 to David Bowie and The Beatles.

The award was later renamed to honour King of Pop, Michael Jackson in 1991.

Besides Pink, musicians such as Madonna, Beyonce, Guns N' Roses and last year, have received the honour.
