Hyderabad Runners Society and Bharti Airtel today said the 7th edition of the annual Airtel Hyderabad Marathon 2017 would be held on August 20.
A 5-km run would take place on August 19, while the marathon will be held on August 20, which comprises half marathon (21.09-km), full marathon (42.195-km) and a 10-km run.
"In this 7th edition of the Airtel Hyderabad Marathon, our focus first and foremost is on enhanced race amenities and ensure runners' safety. We hope to see an increased participation from local schools and communities as volunteers and cheering along the race route," race director Abhijeet Madnurkar was quoted as saying in a release from organisers.
The prize money for the edition is Rs 7.2 lakh for the winners in different categories like elite, male, female in the full marathon, half marathon and 10-km run.
The 5-km run on the August 19 is classified as a 'fun run' without any cash prize.
