TNCC chief demands waiver of agri loans

TNCC president S.Thirunavukkarasar today demanded that the Centre waive agriculture loans of farmers in the state.

He slammed both the central and state governments for not addressing their grievances.


He said the farmers who were protesting in were not able to meet the Prime Minister but chief minister K Palaniswami and O Panneerselvam were able to meet the PM "for their party problems."

The TNCC chief was addressing protesters near here.

The protest, organised by the 'Natural Water Protection Movement', sought steps to address the drought situation in the state.

Cadres from the DMK, left parties, Congress, VCK and other outfits participated in the protest.
