Rehearsal for State official celebrations held

‘Brahmanda Nayakuni Brahmotsavam’, ‘Namo Namo Janani,’ ‘Ee janda pasibosi chirunavvura,’ ‘Ye desamegina’ are some of the devotional and patriotic numbers that are set to enthrall the audience at the State’s official Independence Day celebrations planned at Sri Venkateswara University’s Tarakarama sports pavilion here on Tuesday.

As part of their rehearsal for the cultural session, students of the TTD’s Sri Venkateswara College of Music and Dance, Andhra Pradesh Residential School (West Godavari), Sri Chaitanya School, artists of the Department of Culture (Amaravati) and scholars from the SV Vedic University, Tirupati, are slogging it round the clock.

Meanwhile, instead of confining the tableaux to the parade, the government has decided to take them on the arterial roads of the temple city later not only to showcase their grandeur, but also highlight the achievements of the State government among the common public on areas like agriculture, health, forest, housing, rural development, Swachh Bharat, tourism and culture, TTD, irrigation, social welfare and CRDA.
