India bowl out Sri Lanka for 181 in the second innings to win the third Test by an innings and 171 runs and complete a 3-0 series-sweep, their first-ever away from home, over Sri Lanka.

India beat Sri Lanka in third Test

India made it three wins from three Tests after beating Sri Lanka by an innings and 171 runs in the third and final Test at Pallekele. India bowled out Sri Lanka for 181 in the second innings after asking them to follow-on. Resuming the day at 19 for 2, Sri Lanka lost three wickets in the first session and six more in the extended second innings. Ashwin took four wickets while Mohammed Shami picked up three wickets. Umesh Yadav chipped in with one wicket while Kuldeep Yadav also got a wicket. This is India’s first ever clean-sweep away from home in a series with atleast three Tests.
