AICC spokesperson Brijesh Kalappa said the Congress will once again come back to power in Karnataka.

Speaking to reporters, he expressed his confidence that Siddaramaiah will become the chief minister once again. The Assembly elections will be held only after the completion of five years of term. The state government will not divide Veerashaiva-Lingayat communities, he assured.

On the request of a mutt head, a minister from the community has taken up the responsibility of eliciting opinion on separate religion tag for Veerashaiva-Lingayat, he said.

Stating that the Congress-led state government has given corruption-free administration in the last four-and-a-half years, he said the state tops in economic progress and investment sectors. He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi is engaged in “Tughlaq Darbar.” The Centre is creating confusion among Indian Armed Forces.

Instead of supplying ration, a few ranking army officials are given Rs 3,000 cash from July 1. He asked whether it is right to disturb armed forces personnel who guard the country.
