3 killed in accident near Kadathur

Three people were killed on the spot and five others received injuries when the lorry in which they were travelling, rammed into a tree near Dodda Kadaturu Gate in Malur taluk on Saturday.
The deceased have been identified as Ramesh (28) from Kadadevanahalli village in Malur taluk, Nagaraju (30) from Gandhi Circle, Malur town and M Nagaraju (55), also from Malur town. All three were employed with Dastu, a vegetable trader in Malur town. The trio, along with other five coolie workers, were travelling to a place near V Kota in Andhra Pradesh, for harvesting cabbage, when the accident occurred at 6 am.
The lorry driver, Raju, lost control over his vehicle and rammed his lorry into a tree on the roadside, said the police.
The injured, Munikrishna, Narayanswamy, Channappa, Raju and Deepak, have been admitted to Shri Narasimha Raja District Hospital (SNR) in Kolar city. The front portion of the lorry has been damaged in the accident. A case has been registered in this regard with the Town Police.
