For the second year in a row, the tourism department will run its luxury train Golden Chariot on a short-haul trip to Mysuru for Dasara.

The department of tourism and Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC) are launching ‘Dasara special tour package’ on the luxury train to promote the state festival. The Dasara package is for two nights and one day at affordable rates, said a press release from KSTDC.

“The package provides an excellent opportunity for people to experience royalty on board, showcasing the Nada Habba,” said Priyank Kharge, Minister for IT BT and Tourism. The first trip will be from September 23 to 25. The second will be from September 29 to October 1. The train will depart from Yeshwantpur railway station in the night on the first day to Mysuru and returns to Bengaluru early morning on the third day.

KSTDC has planned a curated royal walk to enable guests explore the heritage rich city of Mysuru. The guests will be offered the Gold pass for witnessing Dasara events and cultural programmes in front of the illuminated palace. For details, log on to www.kstdc.co/www.goldenchariot.org
