‘To help realise objective of Bangaru Telangana’

B.P. Acharya, Special Chief Secretary and Director-General of Dr. MCR HRD Institute, said that 9,000 employees of Telangana would be imparted training in e-learning modules.

Multiplier effect

“The availability of trained manpower at the grassroots, especially a large contingent of headmasters and others from the Education Department, will have a great multiplier effect, bring in its wake a number of beneficial outcomes, and result in realising the dream of Bangaru Telangana,” he said.

He was speaking at the Training for Trainers (ToT) programme for e-learning training modules for Telangana Government employees, organised at the Dr. MCR HRD Institute of Telangana, and sponsored by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Government of India. eLearning modules would be of great help in addressing the challenges of capacity building among employees in the context of the reorganisation of 10 districts into 31 districts in the State, said G.R. Reddy, Advisor to the Government of Telangana. He said e-learning training would go a long way in empowering employees at the grassroots in effectively implementing development- and welfare-oriented initiatives.

Devesh Chaturvedi, Joint Secretary, DoPT, said Telangana, which was among the six States in the country selected for e-learning training, initially on a pilot basis, had plans to cover about 82,000 frontline State government functionaries during 2017-18.

Over 100 chief planning officers, e-district managers, district educational officers, district training coordinators, headmasters, and school assistants, who were trained, would be the master trainers for imparting training to mandal- and division-level employees across the State.
